I started a 4 year apprenticeship in 1980 as a Commercial Artist working for McCaffrey Bennett, a small graphics studio in Liverpool.
During this time I also attended art classes at the Liverpool Institute and studied life drawing, painting and art history.
I have since worked as an illustrator, photo retoucher, graphic designer, typographer, and also graphics studio manager in advertising agencies before starting my own studio.
I now spend most of my time drawing and painting and always enjoy producing commissions.
I use many different mediums but work mainly with watercolours, ink and also acrylic. I’ve always lived in Liverpool , it’s a fabulous city and I try to capture the feel of my favourite areas of the city in my work.
My paintings are regularly exhibited in Liverpool, they have also featured in several magazines.
